Shar’Day is our Media Director here at BSE and she is clearly AWESOME! Shar’Day joined our BSE team all the way from Mobile, AL but is loving life back here in Florida considering she went to The University of Florida in Gainesville where she earned her Bachelor’s of Science in Advertising. She first got her start in Media Planning and Buying while she was attending college during an internship and immediately fell in love.
From there she jumped feet first into Media Planning and Buying working for an in-house media department as a media assistant where she climbed the ladder up to buyer status while simultaneously diving into the ecommerce world. After several years in-house, she went agency-side to continue crushing all her media goals along the way. Highlights for Shar’Day includes buying spots the Super Bowl, implementing strategic cross-channel multimillion dollar media buys, executing a diverse portfolio of digital plans, and buying all across the nation in a variety of market sizes, including Nielsen’s top 10 ranked DMA’s. Her favorite thing about her job is that she is constantly learning and fine-tuning her skills as the media continually changes. She loves putting together the unknown puzzle during planning, buying and negotiation phases that make it a piece of artwork that just can’t be duplicated.
Outside her job, Shar’Day keeps busy with her 3 active sons who have interests from A to Z and she loves getting to experience it all with them. Although her hands are full, she has been known to be a half marathon junkie. To her, there is just something about jogging 13.1 miles in order to get a really cool shiny medal along with a fun post party, that really makes her day. When she does get a moment alone she loves to binge watch Orange Is The New Black, Shameless and The Office. Three things on her bucket list are to visit Australia, swim with sea otters and go on a shopping spree. If she could have one superpower it would be invisibility.
